Fewa Otedola is last child and only son of Femi Otedola's four children. Although Fewa is autistic, he has made alot of progress over the years and his family has been ever so supportive of his condition.
They never miss any opportunity to bring awareness to autism in Nigeria and also encourage people to eliminate stigmatization as autism is not a mental illness.

In celebration of Fewa's birthday, I'm going to run you through what autism is, so that we can educate others and eliminate stigmatization making the world a better place for people with special needs.
According to Autism speaks, "Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication."

There is not only one autism but many subtypes, most influenced by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Because autism is a spectrum disorder, each person with autism has a distinct set of strengths and challenges. The ways in which people with autism learn, think and problem-solve can range from highly skilled to severely challenged. Some people with ASD may require significant support in their daily lives, while others may need less support and, in some cases, live entirely independently.
Signs of autism can be diagnosed in children as early as 18 months but it's symptoms usually appears at age 2.
Symptoms include; gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, seizures or sleep disorders, as well as mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and attention issues.
Research shows that early detection can detection and intervention can lead to better life outcomes for people with autism.

please observe and take note of your kids, if they show any of these symptoms take them to a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
