QUALIFICATIONS 

* (a)  Professor (CONUASS II 07) 
Candidates should be holders of Ph.D degree from recognised Universities with at least ten (10) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership. Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable. 


* (b)  Associate Professor (CONUASS II 06) 
Qualifications are as stated for Professors but with at least (8) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable. 


* (c)  Senior Lecturer (CONUASS II 05) 
Qualifications are same as (b) above but with at least six (6) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of at least eight (8) scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable. 


* (d)  Lecturer I (CONUASS II 04) 
Candidates should be holders of PhD from recognised Universities with at least three (3) years post- doctoral teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary institutions, with evidence of at least four (4) journals articles in reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable. Candidates with MA/MSc with at least six (6) years post qualification teaching and administrative experience in tertiary institution, six (6) journal articles, evidence of PhD registration or Master’s CGPA of not less than 4.0/5.0 may also apply. 


* (e)  Lecturer II (CONUASS II 03) 
Candidates should possess the same qualifications as (d) above or MA/MSc with three (3) years teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary institution, PhD registration or Master’s CGPA of not less than 4.0/5.0 and at least one journal publication, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable. 


* (f)  AssistantLecturer(CONUASSII02) 
Candidates should be holders of MA/MSc Degree in relevant fields with clear evidence of registration for a PhD programme or Masters CGPA of not less than 4.0/5.0. Registration with relevant professional bodies, where applicable, will be an added advantage.

Candidates must possess a good University Degree preferably in the Humanities, Law, Social Sciences or Management Sciences plus fifteen (15) years cognate experience, eight (8) of which must have been spent in a University system. 


* (b)  Principal Assistant Registrar (CONTISS II 13) 
Candidates must possess a good University Degree preferably in the Humanities, Law, Social Sciences or Management Sciences plus twelve (12) years cognate experience, six (6) of which must have been spent in a University system. 


* (c)  Senior Assistant Registrar (CONTISS II 11) 
Qualifications are same as (a) above but with nine (9) years cognate experience, (3) of which must have been spent in tertiary institution.

Candidates should possess a good Honours Degree preferably in Law, humanities and Social Sciences from recognised Universities, plus six (6) years cognate experience in a tertiary institution. 


* (a)  Assistant Registrar (Guidance and Counselling) (CONTISS II 09) 
Candidates should possess a good Honours Degree in Guidance and Counselling from a recognised University, plus six (6) years cognate experience in tertiary institution. 


* (b)  Administrative Officer (CONTISS II 08) 
Qualifications as in (d) above, but with three (3) years cognate experience, in addition, the candidate should not only have a credit in English Language, but be proficient in oral and written English Language. 


* (c)  Administrative Assistant (CONTISS II 07) 
Qualifications are the same as for Administrative Officer. 


* (d)  Confidential Secretary I (CONTISS II 07) 
The Candidate must possess Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretarial Studies passed at minimum of Lower Credit level, with six (6) years experience plus demonstrable ability for 60 words speed per minute in typing plus computer literacy. Also the candidate must have WASC/SSCE/GCE with at least 5 credits including English Language, in addition, the candidate should not only have a credit in English Language, but be proficient in oral and written English Language. 


* (e)  Confidential Secretary II (CONTISS II 06)

The Candidate must possess National Diploma (ND) in Secretarial Studies passed at minimum of Lower Credit level, with a demonstrable ability for 50 words speed per minute in typing, with three (3) years cognate experience, plus computer literacy. Also the candidate must have WASC/SSCE/GCE with at least 5 credits including English Language, in addition, the candidate should not only have a credit in English Language, but be proficient in oral and written English Language.

QUALIFICATIONS 

* (a)  Deputy Librarian (CONUASS II 06) 
Candidates shall possess a Master’s degree in Library and information Science or equivalent postgraduate professional qualification with fifteen (15) years academic library experience. He/she must show ability to initiate and improve library services and possess scholarly publications in reputable journals. Possession of a PhD will be an advantage. Membership of Librarian registration council of Nigeria is required. 


* (b)  Principal Librarian (CONUASS II 05) 
Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Library and information Science, plus eight (8) publications five of which must be journals. He/she must also be a member of Librarian registration council of Nigeria. Nine (9) years cognate experience is required. 


* (c)  Senior Librarian (CONUASS II 04) 
Candidate must possess the same as (a) above but with four (4) articles in reputable journals, and six (6) years cognate experience. Membership of Librarian registration council of Nigeria is required. 


* (d)  Librarian I (CONUASS II 03) 
Candidate must possess the same as (a) above but with four (2) articles in reputable journals, and three (3) years cognate experience. Membership of Librarian registration council of Nigeria is required 


* (e)  Library Officer (CONTISS II 06) 
Candidate must possess National Diploma (ND) in Library and Information Science. Computer literacy is an added advantage.

Candidate should possess a Master’s degree in architecture with 12 years working experience plus membership of Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON); or honours degree in Engineering 

or Quantity surveying with twelve (12) years working experience, out of which 6 years must have been spent in a tertiary institution plus registration with appropriate professional body. 

* (b)  Chief Architect (CONTISS II 13) 
Candidate should possess a good honours degree in architecture with 12 years working experience plus membership of Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON); or Master’s degree in architecture with nine (9) years working experience, out of which 3 years must have been spent in a tertiary institution. 


* (c)  Principal Engineer (CONTISS II 11) 
Candidate must possess a good honours degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) with nine (9) years post-qualification experience plus registration with relevant professional bodies. 


* (d)  Principal Quantity Surveyor (CONTISS II 11) 
Candidates must possess a good honours degree in Quantity Surveying plus nine (9) years cognate experience and must be registered with Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS); or HND in Quantity Surveying plus 12 years cognate experience and membership of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveying (NIQS). 


* (e)  Engineer II (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) (CONTISS II 07) 
Candidates must possess a good honours degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical). 


6. SECURITY

QUALIFICATIONS 

* (a)  Chief Security Officer (CONTISS II 13) 
Candidate should possess a good honours degree from a recognised University and should be at least a retired Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in the Armed Forces and must have at least 12 years working experience. 


* (b)  Security Officer II (CONTISS II 07) 
Candidate must be an ex-Inspector of Police or its equivalent in the Armed Forces with at least eight (8) years’ experience. In addition candidates must also have five credits including English Language at not more than two sittings in WEAC, NECO or GCE.

(a) Principal Medical Officer (CONTISS II 13) 

Candidates must possess MBBS plus nine (9) years post-houseman ship experience, candidates must also have postgraduate training in Public Health, Community Health and Family Medicine or General Medicine. Registration with Nigerian Medical and Dental Council is required. 

* (b)  Senior Medical Officer (CONTISS II 11) 
Candidates must possess MBBS plus three (3) years residency/post-houseman ship experience; or MBBS plus Diploma in a medically related discipline. Evidence of registration with the NMDC is also required. 


* (c)  Senior Pharmacist (CONTISS II 11) 
Candidate must possess B. Pharm. or B.Sc. Pharmacy from a recognized University plus full time registration with the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria. Candidates must also have three years post- registration experience. 


* (d)  Senior Nursing Officer (CONTISS II 09) 
Candidates must have NRCN or NRM plus six (6) years post-registration or specialist qualification in intensive care nursing, coronary care nursing or public health; or Bachelor of Nursing plus three (3) years post-qualification experience. 


* (e)  Nursing Officer I (CONTISS II 08) 
The same as for Senior Nursing Officer but with four (4) years post-qualification experience.

Candidates must possess NRCN or NRM qualification.

Experience in any of SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and Database, Scripting languages, MySQL Certifications, MCDBA would be required or an advantage for Database Administrators; NetworkPlus certification, CCNA, CCNP for Network engineers; A+, CCNA, NetworkPlus certification for Hardware engineers; ProjectPlus for Systems Analysts; and MCAD, MCSD, SCJP,SCWCD, SCBCD, SCJP, J2ME, CMDD, CMFDs, CMFDv, CCFD for Programmers.

Candidates shall possess the same qualifications as above (b), but should have three (3) years experience.

(b) Senior Academic Planning Officer (CONTISS II 09) 

Candidates should possess a good honours degree from a recognised University in any relevant discipline with a minimum of six (6) years post NYSC cognate experience; or A Masters degree from a recognised University plus at least three (3) years post NYSC cognate experience; or A Doctorate degree from a recognised University in any relevant field plus NYSC. 

(c) Academic Planning Officer I (CONTISS II 08) 

Candidates should possess a good honours degree from a recognised University in any relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years post NYSC cognate experience; or A Masters degree from a recognised University in a relevant field. 

(d) Academic Planning Officer II (CONTISS II 07) 

Candidates should possess a good honours degree from a recognised University in any relevant discipline plus NYSC.
