The two leading candidates in the Edo State governorship election, Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP 

Edo election: Godwin Obaseki, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the  governorship election in Edo state has, so far, won a total of 13 Local Government Areas from results being collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Edo state. Obaseki has so far polled a total of 282,118 votes; 50,782 more than the total votes of 231,336 Ize-Iyamu has polled.
