On Saturday, the 7th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) held at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos. The movie, ‘Living in Bondage’ was leading the night with a total of 7 wins including Best Overall movie. ‘God Calling’ followed closely with 2 wins. Also, one of the biggest snubs for the night was ‘King of Boys’ with no wins. Meanwhile, Bbnaija 2019 housemates, Mike Edwards and Mercy Eke went home with a special category award for best-dressed male and female. By Artemis Moshtaghian, Chloe Melas and Darran Simon, CNN    (CNN) Basketball legend Kobe Bryant and one of his daughters were among nine people killed Sunday morning when a helicopter crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California, sources and officials said. Bryant, 41, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria Onore Bryant had been expected at the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks for a basketball game scheduled for Sunday. Gianna was expected to play in the game and Bryant was expected to coach, according to Lady Mavericks team director Evelyn Morales. The helicopter crash, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, caused a brush fire, Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Daryl Osby said. A Congolese lady has allegedly poisoned her bestfriend who received a job promotion before her. The jealous lady and her bestfriend were both up for a job promotion but the deceased won and got promoted ahead of her. This got her furious and she decided to poison her bestfriend, she decided to ‘take her out.’ According to reports, she gave offered the deceased a poisoned meal and after she ate it, she died. The accused has now been arrested while the Police investigate the case.
